THE IMAGE

I took the original photo of this art print on a brisk day on Broughty Ferry Beach, Dundee, Scotland. Across the water you can see the distant shores of Fife and to the right of the picture, in the background, is the silhouette of Broughty Ferry Castle. If you look REALLY closely you might even be able to find a little cat called ‘Tinker’ who tends to be hiding somewhere in most of my prints. This beach in particular brings back many happy childhood memories of fresh sea air and sunshine, family picnics and running about in the sand dunes followed by a visit to our favourite ice cream parlour. Looking at this, I can still remember the taste of my favourite mint choc chip ice cream.

MOUNTED PRINT SIZES

These measurements are the outer edge of the mount/paper (the glass area of a frame). This is the size you will see when buying a ready made frame.

Carol has helped lots of customers create a unique artwork for their home that means something personal to them.  Working from photos or just an idea or colours, Carol can create a piece of art you will love.  Check out the commissions page for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, they are made in Scotland. The prints are professionally produced in Dundee, and final assembly takes place in Carol’s Dundee studio. Paper, inks, mounts and frames are sourced from small businesses across the UK, and the artwork itself is inspired by Scottish landscapes.

Each mounted print uses museum-grade, 100% cotton Canson® Infinity paper with a classic fine-art etching texture. Free of artificial brighteners, it offers exceptional colour depth, deep blacks, and natural age resistance to ensure lasting quality without fading over time.

Orders are sent within 24-48hrs.

Most packages are sent by Royal Mail or a trusted courier service which takes 2-5 working days.

This website currently ships to various countries around the world and your shipping and taxes will be automatically added at the checkout when you input your address.

For mounted prints, there are 3 main sizes to chose from which fit standard square frames:

  • 8×8″
  • 12×12″
  • 16×16″

These measurements are the outside of the mount (and glass aperture area of your frame).

Custom sizes are possible if you’d like to contact Carol for a quote.

Yes, custom sizes can be available – if you contact Carol, she can give you a timeline and price.  Please note custom sizes would be supplied with no mount.

I have black, slim, wooden frames for all 3 sizes which I can send to you.  Please contact for details.

The mounted prints can be bought with a frame which is ready to hang or you can just buy the print and chose a different frame to suit your home decor.  They are standard sizes (8, 12 or 16″square) so it should be easy to find the size you need.
