THE IMAGE
This giclée print is inspired by the well known Scottish mountain called Schiehallion.I love how the name originates from the Gaelic Sìth Chailleann, which translates to “fairy hill of the Caledonians.”
The mountain is in the Breadalbane region of the Scottish Highlands, and this particular view is from the north shore of Loch Rannoch, which is a gorgeous area itself. The rocks made it tricky to walk on but it was worth the view – just stunning and perhaps my new favourite print!
I was here for over an hour taking photos and was even lucky enough to experience a double rainbow, promptly before getting soaked of course. Seems to be a theme in my work!
This mountain is classed as a munro and I might start doing more Munro’s to add to my collection. Message me if you have a favourite you’d like to be made into a print. Or check out my commissions page.
