THE IMAGE
I took the original photo of this print on a brisk day on Broughty Ferry Beach, Dundee, Scotland. Across the water you can see the distant shores of Fife and to the right of the picture, in the background, is the silhouette of Broughty Ferry Castle. If you look REALLY closely you might even be able to find a little cat called ‘Tinker’ who tends to be hiding somewhere in most of my prints. This beach in particular brings back many happy childhood memories of fresh sea air and sunshine, family picnics and running about in the sand dunes followed by a visit to our favourite ice-cream parlour. Looking at this, I can still remember the taste of my favourite mint choc chip ice-cream.
