Kinshaldy Beach in Fife (and the Tentsmuir Nature Reserve) is my favourite place in the whole world – even when the weather is awful!
On this particular day, I was glad I wore my wellies although due to the wet weather, we almost had the whole beach to ourselves – just my friend and I along with a couple of dog walkers. Of course, it was also a perfect excuse to go to the local cafe afterwards and sit with a hot coffee next to their toasty log burner so we could dry out our wet coats. Bliss.It also made me think of that saying, ‘Better a bad day at the beach than a good day in the office’.
