Saturday & Sunday 21st/22nd September 2024 - Charleton Farm, Hillside, near Montrose

10am-4pm, free parking.

Charleton Fruit Farm is a wonderful farm on the outskirts of Montrose, Hillside area to be precise.

The makers market is going to be in the big barn just past the car park where you’ll be able to browse with over 30 artists and makers covering all sorts of products, from tablet to lampshades, gifts for pets, art prints and everything in between.  I might start my Christmas shopping early this year to spread the cost.

My Montrose aunties go here a lot, which is how I found out about it, by visiting the lovely cafe there.  If you happen to go for lunch, I can recommend the vegetarian ploughman’s.  I’m now addicted to their wee pickled shallots which I can buy in their farm shop next door.

The address is Charleton Farm, Hillside, Montrose, DD10 9EW.

It’s well signposted and easy to find.

Sunday 7th of April 2024 - Larick Centre, Tayport

11am-3pm, entry £2, free parking.

The first of hopefully many events this year is a pop up market in Tayport organised by the wonderful Yard Market.

The venue for this pop up is the fantastic Larick Centre in Tayport.

I discovered this place recently when going for a little drive to scout locations for my prints.  Hubby and I had a lovely, relaxing lunch in the cafe there which has a great menu.  After enquiring about the meeting rooms there, my husband booked one of the rooms for a work meeting as an alternative to an expensive hotel. So glad I found this place!

There’s plenty of car parking spaces and the 42A bus from Dundee Bus Station stops just along the road.

Just behind the centre, you’ll find a seaside walk where you can walk towards Tayport Caravan Park and the views of Dundee & Broughty Ferry or go to the right, heading towards Tentsmuir Nature Reserve.

The address for the Larick centre is Shanwell Road, Tayport, DD6 9EA.

Saturday 20th of April 2024 - Rottal Steading, angus

10am-4pm, entry free, free parking, dog friendly

Rottal Steading’s first makers market of the year is on Saturday 20th of April in their gorgeous barn.

If you’re looking for a scenic drive up to Glen Clova then this is the event for you.  Lots of people make a day of it by walking in the Angus glens and stopping here for refreshments and a wee shop with some of the unique local artists, makers and producers.

The address for this event is Rottal EstateGlen Clova, Kirriemuir, Angus, DD8 4QT.
