Isles of Glencoe Hotel, Ballachulish
A2 size £190 art print, mounted
turnaround time: 2 weeks
This particular hotel in Glencoe had a special significance for the customer as it was where her husband had proposed to her. This made a lovely anniversary gift as the place had special meaning to them both. I created the print using a photo of the hotel and added some hearther and tartan textures so make it look even more Scottish.

Commissioned from a client photo, Carol can create abstract artwork for you which is inspired by your photo and it doesn’t matter how poor the original image is. As you can see from the final artwork, a little creative flair was used to add some drama with colour, textures & light.

Monifieth Beach

This lovely customer had already bought the Monifieth Beach print from me and wanted to have a commissioned artwork created to match it using a photo she had of a loved one on another beach.
I loved the choice of silver frame on her gorgeous coloured wall which matched the artwork beautifully.

Commissioned from a client photo with a request to add in textures, printed using archival pigment ink onto heavyweight, museum-quality fine art. Rolled up and sent in postal tube for protection.
How the Commission Process Works
1. Send your Idea
Use the form below to share your photo and describe what you’d like. Or e-mail Carol at hello@carolmcewan.scot. You will then receive a quote based on the time it will take to create the artwork and the cost of printing. Prices can be given for different size options.
Your idea can be abstract or from a specific photo you’d like to be turned into artwork.
2. Approve the Design
Once we agree on size, style, and price, I’ll begin the creative process and send a preview for approval. (Please note full payment must be made before any commission work begins)
3. Watch it come to life
I will transform your photo or idea into a unique artwork which will be layered with colours, paint brush strokes and textures. I will then send a copy for approval on e-mail to you and ask if you’d like to give it a name.
4. Printing & Delivery
When you are 100% happy and approve the artwork it will then be printed, signed & titled.
Your commissioned artwork is printed using Canon’s 12-ink museum-quality pigment system onto 310gsm Canson Infinity fine art paper. Every print is an archival, fade-resistant high quality.
it is then packaged carefully (flat if smaller /mounted or rolled in a sturdy tube if larger. It’s then shipped securely to your door by trusted courier tracking.

How long will my commission take?
Usually 2–4 weeks depending on size and workload.
Can I request changes?
One round of minor revisions is included before printing
Do you offer framing?
I can offer framing on sizes up to 16″ to send in the post. If you are local to Dundee then I am happy to delivery framing of any size or recommend a good framers if you’d rather go yourself to choose the moulding option. I can also recomend framers in Glasgow and Edinburgh who I’ve personally used.
Do I own the artwork rights?
You own the physical artwork. I retain the copyright for promotional purposes unless other wise agreed. For an extra fee your artwork can be exclusive, limited edition print 1 of 1.

Ways to Customise Your Print
IMAGE
Can be a special place or photo you’d like to turn into art.
SIZE
Can be anything you like, big or small. If you already have a frame in mind or a space for your artwork and you need it to be a specific size, this is not a problem. We can even go up to a whopping A0 (1188 x 841mm) size if you really want to make a statement on your walls!
TEXT

All prints are made using heavyweight, fine art, archival papers (or canvas) using Artsure approved pigment inks which mean that, if properly cared for, these prints can last decades without the fading you would get from an inferior, cheap product or normal inkjet printer.
